‘Keys To Ascension’ was originally released in two volumes, in 1996 and 1997, with both albums including new studio material and a live concert split across the two releases.Recording took place in San Luis Obispo, California, in 1996/97, where the reunited line-up also played three live shows in March 1996. These were the final studio recordings from the reunited classic line up of JonAnderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White, and Rick Wakeman, and the first from the quintet since ‘Tormato’ in 1978.
