Now widely rated by music historians as being among the most influential tracks to be issued during this fascinating period in Jamaican recording history, his productions revolutionised the national sound and were instrumental in laying the foundations for the two primary sub-genres that would come to dominate reggae music throughout the remainder of the decade: roots and dub. This captivating collection, which forms part of a series of 2CD anthology sets showcasing the very best of Perry's Jamaican 7' singles, includes many of the most important and popular recordings of the period.
