Based on the New York Times #1 bestseller of the same title by Liane Moriarty, Big Little Lies, the seven-episode HBO drama series starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsg\xe5rd follows three mothers in the tranquil seaside town of Monterey, California whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. Written for television and created by David E. Kelley (Picket Fences, LA Law, The Practice, Ally McBeal), the series was directed entirely by Jean-Marc Vall\xe9e (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild, Demolition). Wildly popular, the series aired between February and April, and is due out on DVD August 1. \r

Current soul sensations Leon Bridges, Michael Kiwanuka, Charles Bradley and Kinny, as well as legacy artist Irma Thomas are represented. \u201cThis Feeling\u201d by blues-rockers Alabama Shakes and Martha Wainwright\u2019s \u201cBloody Mother Fucking Asshole\u201d are also standouts, in addition to Ituana\u2019s breathy interpretation of the Rolling Stones\u2019 \u201cYou Can\u2019t Always Get What You Want.\u201d The album also includes \u201cThe Wonder of You' performed by Villagers, Daniel Agee\u2019s take on \u201cHow\u2019s The World Treating You\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t,\u201d performed by cast member Zo\xeb Kravitz. \r
