The Island Records priority release completes a stellar year for the Dublin band, following their return to stadiums with the critically acclaimed, sold out \u2018The Joshua Tree Tour 2017\u2019 playing to 2.4 million fans in just 51 shows across Europe and North and South America, as well as the successful 30th Anniversary re-issue of \u2018The Joshua Tree\u2019. The new album \u2013 their 14th - is the companion piece to 2014\u2019s \u2018Songs of Innocence\u2019, the two titles taking reference from English poet William Blake\u2019s \u2018Songs of Innocence and Experience\u2019.\r

\u2018The Blackout\u2019 and \u2018You\u2019re The Best Thing About Me\u2019 were the first songs to be made available from the album. \u2018You\u2019re The Best Thing About Me\u2019 is the band\u2019s first Top 20 airplay record in a decade and has also been remixed by Norwegian superstar DJ and producer Kygo.\r
