Since the late 1990s Decca and DG Collectors Editions boxes have sold in their millions: they are a staple of the Universal Classics catalogue. Now, after more than a decade, we felt it was time to spruce them up – with a new look, new contents and new booklet essays.

THE CONTENTS: As far as possible, we have taken account of 2010 anniversaries (for example, Chopin, Mahler, Wolf) and are offering new sets of repertoire, not just revamping “old” Collectors boxes.

Of particular note from DG are Gardiner’s Beethoven cycle, available for the first time at budget, and Bernstein’s Mahler symphonies cycle, squeezed on to a very competitive 11 CDs.
