Although Manfred Mann was already familiar with chart success from his earlier career, The Roaring Silence propelled Manfred Mann's Earth Band to an entirely new level of fame, reaching the top of the charts in 1977.Of course, Bruce Springsteen's ""Blinded by the Light"" had all the ingredients of a hit, but its success must have come as a surprise to both the band and Springsteen alike, as it became the first No. 1 single for both. The song captivated a whole new generation of Manfred Mann fans, with the invigorating combination of newly recruited vocalist Chris Thompson's powerful lead vocals and Mann's signature keyboard style transforming it into a modern classic rock anthem. To this day, it remains one of the most frequently played songs in classic rock history.This strictly limited Liquid filled vinyl.
