Demon is delighted to present the classic 1981 Kirsty MacColl album Desperate Character for National Album Day 2026, available as a Deluxe 2CD Gatefold Edition.Originally released in June 1981 and produced by Barry "Bazza" Farmer, Desperate Character is Kirsty MacColl's debut studio album. Its release was fuelled by the hit lead single, "There's a Guy Works Down the Chip ShopSwears He's Elvis," which reached 14 on the UK Singles Chart. The album also features the fan-favourite singles "See That Girl," "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby," and "You Still Believe In Me."This Deluxe Edition includes a second disc with 8 bonus tracks, alongside a 12-page booklet containing lyrics.
