Prolific singer-songwriter, musician and multiple-Grammy Award winner Jim Lauderdale teams up for a third time with Robert Hunter (best known for his association with the Grateful Dead) with 11 fresh takes on the bluegrass sound. The album leans traditional with regards to instrumentation and song structure but has all new songs and will appeal to both traditional bluegrass fans, as well as Americana/roots audiences.
Jim Lauderdale is a renowned songwriter (writing hits for artists such as George Strait, Dixie Chicks, Patty Loveless and more), and is well respected in national songwriter circles. His 2002 album 'Lost in the Lonesome Pines', a collaboration with Ralph Stanley, won the Grammy® Award for Best Bluegrass Album.
