Hawkwind - The Flicknife Years: 1981-1988 [CD]

Atomhenge, the home of Hawkwinds catalogue between 1975 and 1997, are pleased to announce the release of this five-disc collection of material released on the Flicknife label between 1981 and 1988. During this period Flicknife Records released three classic compilations in the Friends and Relations series, along with the albums Zones and Out & Intake which drew together studio tracks and live recordings made by Hawkwind. These albums have all been newly remastered and are presented here in one collection, housed in a clamshell box with each CD in a slip case with restored artwork. Also included are eleven bonus tracks taken from singles, including the Hurry on Sundown EP, two live tracks recorded at Stonehenge Free Festival in June 1984 and two live tracks recorded at Bristol Custom Bike show in August 1986. Features the albums friends & relations, zones, friends & relations (twice upon a time), friends & relations volume three and out & intake plus eleven bonus tracks includes illustrated booklet with essay and 5 cds in slipcased artwork reviews in uncut, mojo, record collector, the wire & classic rock prog magazines coverage on relevant websites & fanzines.
