“To me, SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM is the notion of being forced to look at everything a little deeper and face what you were ignoring,” observes Chris. “It was a wakeup call to find myself again. All of these songs are jarring in their own way, which ties into the concept. This whole body of work feels like something unlocked inside of me due to life and circumstances. In a way, I was broken open. It revealed all of these things I needed to tackle in the songs.”
