Chick Corea who had a chance to listen to her performance invited her to his concert, and suddenly asked her to play with him on the stage. Several years later, Hiromi signed to Telarc label and made a major recording debut. Chick was continuously keeping an eye on her career, and ten years from their first collaboration on the stage, they had a chance to share the stage of Tokyo Jazz Festival 2006. Their performances were highly acclaimed by audience and critics. And a year later, September 2007, Blue Note Tokyo opened three- day special concerts starring Chick and Hiromi, under the strong request from Chick Corea. Tickets were all sold out in a day, house fully packed with enthusiastic audiences, and great performances each night. From the opening tune, their breathtaking interaction sparkled.
