The track has been frequently sampled and remains one of the most amazing performances Esther gave on record. u2022Estheru2019s Kudu charted singles u2013 from her 1975 globally successful disco-slanted revival of Dinah Washingtonu2019s u2018What A Diffu2019rence A Day Makesu2019 to covers of The Originalsu2019 1969 Motown hit, u2018Baby, Iu2019m For Realu2019 and Eddie Floydu2019s gender-switched u2018Iu2019ve Never Found A Man (To Love Me Like You Dou2019) - are also featured. Two rare live recordings from a 1972 appearance at a CTI All-Stars concert at The Hollywood Bowl with five tracks from Estheru2019s classic 1973 u201cBlack-Eyed Bluesu201d LP, recorded with former members of King Crimson, are among other standouts. Extensive notes by Nathan include quotes from rock organist Tim Hinkley (who played on the album sessions) and from u201870s interviews with Esther herself.
