Now, for 2017, they present a new compilation of more great showband classics as u2026u2026u2026The Story Continues. rrOnce again we feature the iconic showband stars and bands u2013 Dickie Rock & The Miami, Brendan Bowyer with the Royal and The Big 8, Joe Dolan & The Drifters, Butch Moore & The Capitol and Brendan O'Brien & The Dixies. New to our ever-expanding Hits Collections are Declan Ryan & The Regal, with his 1965 hit 'I Need You' and The Dream's hit version of Dickie's 'Baby I'm Your Man'. The latter was written by band members Shay O Donoghue and Aiden Magennis. rrSean Dunphy & Sonny Knowles, 2 of the biggest stars who moved on from the showband circuit to the new and emerging cabaret scene are again included. No collection of showband hits would be complete without The Freshmen and The Swarbriggs. For the first time in the series we introduce Tony Kenny & The Sands with two great pop hits, 'Yummy Yummy Yummy' & ' Dance Dance Dance'. The big powerful voices of Red Hurley & Roly Daniels are also highlighted, along with the softer vocal sounds of Frankie Mc Bride, Jim Tobin and Brendan Quinn. Representing the showband ladies (of which there were all too few) we include Tina from her days with The Real Mc Coy. rrA final mention goes to Brian Coll with 'Ireland Swings' his hit which tells the story of the impact of the showband era in Ireland.
