'Two Sides To Every Story,' the criminally long out-of-print solo album from Gene Clark, a founding member of the Byrds, is being released on CD and vinyl by High Moon Records, the New York City-based reissue label, marking its much-anticipated return to print for the first time in 20 years. The High Moon Records remastered version of the 1977 RSO album features absolutely stunning sound, that will thrill Clark enthusiasts, as its last brief appearance on CD (it hasn't been released on vinyl since the original 1977 pressing) was of lackluster sound quality, that was an injustice to a songwriter as distinguished as Clark. 'Two Sides' features seven Clark originals, and three covers. From the country-rocking 'Kansas City Southern,' to the achingly, melancholy, strings-and-synthesizer-draped 'Sister Moon.' The album was produced by Thomas Jefferson Kaye who also produced Clark's masterpiece 'No Other,' and features Doug Dillard (The Byrds, Dillard Clark) on banjo, Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell) on guitar and Emmylou Harris on backing vocals. 'His voice was a world of its own, strong and fragile at the same time. Clark seemed to have a direct line on a certain melancholy that make the heart turn backflips...
