On this newly-released album, xd3 Riada weaves a magic spell with his own arrangements of great Irish airs played on piano and harpsichord.rrThe core of the album was recorded in May 1971, just five months before xd3 Riada's death at the early age of 40. Other tracks were recorded in March 1971 and some date from 1966.rrTracks include the well-known 'Carrigfergus', 'Carraig Donn' and 'Sliabh na mBan'. A number of airs featured here were first introduced by xd3 Riada to the public: 'Aisling Gheal', 'Port na bPxfacaxed' and 'Cois an Ghaorthaigh'.xd3 Riada also plays airs from his childhood and a rousing sequence of patriotic tunes.rrThis hour-long CD is now being released for the very first time.
