'Worlds' is the highly anticipated debut album from Porter Robinson, the renowned 22 year old producer from North Carolina in the USA.\r

\u201cTwo years ago,\u201d remembers Porter Robinson, \u201cI only had the inkling of the idea that I wanted to do something different. I needed to do something that was honest and real,\u201d Porter explains. So he turned down countless DJ offers in 2013 to spend the entire year devoting himself to a process of introspection and reinvention. \u201cI figured that one way to develop a unique identity as an artist would be to combine all my favourite things in music \u2014 it would result in something that is really personal, a collective expression of my taste and experience. Something nobody else has.\u201d\r

And thus begat 'Worlds', a cinematic excursion that commingles Porter\u2019s technological prowess with his love of evocative melody. His first studio album, it finds an unlikely common ground for Porter\u2019s diverse inspirations: Kanye West\u2019s Graduation, Daft Punk\u2019s Discovery, The Postal Service, and an array of orchestral movie scores. \r

\u2018Lionhearted\u2019 is the propulsive next single from the album and is released on August 3rd in the UK. Added to the In New Music We Trust playlist at BBC Radio 1, the driving alt-electronic anthem is an infectious, radio-ready track that showcases Porter\u2019s pop prowess and superior song craft. Featuring surging vocals from Swedish indie outfit Urban Cone, \u2018Lionhearted\u2019 pushes-and-pulls between ambient sighs and power chords resulting in one of the summer\u2019s most undeniable jams. \r

\u2018Worlds\u2019 kicks off with the swelling \u2018Divinity\u2019 featuring Amy Millan of Stars which trickles into the #1 HypeMachine track \u2018Sad Machine\u2019 (Porter\u2019s vocal debut in a duet with a robot) which premiered via FADER and was selected as a top track of the week by both Billboard and Stereogum upon its release in May. \r

The first taste from the album,\u2018Sea of Voices\u2019 trended #1 on Facebook when it was revealed to Porter\u2019s fans via Twitter during the Oscars earlier this year and quickly shot to #2 on the iTunes electronic chart, #5 on HypeMachine, #5 on Spotify\u2019s viral chart. It has surpassed more than 2 million Soundcloud plays to date. \r

Additional album highlights include the glitched-out avant centerpiece \u2018Fellow Feeling\u2019 which swells from violin-driven sentiment to industrial static, before settling into palpitating chords, and \u2018Years of War\u2019 a radiant synth pop track propelled by a fuzzy beat featuring Breanne Duren (Owl City) and Sean Caskey (Last Dinosaurs). \u2018Hear the Bells\u2019 featuring Imaginary Cities prolongs the pop euphoria and \u2018Polygon Dust\u2019 a swelling electronic pop tune featuring Norwegian duo Lemaitre, who will open for Porter on the \u2018Worlds\u2019 North American Tour. \r

Following the release of \u2018Worlds\u2019, Porter will head out on a massive European and North American headline tour that will see him playing live for the first time; manipulating multi-tracks, triggering samples, playing midi keys and using controllers to create to create a fully-live affair that stands in stark contrast to his previous DJ appearances. He will perform at Koko in London on Thursday 30th October.\r
