Description
Indulge in the rare and beautiful solo songs of Gaetano Donizetti, expertly performed by the acclaimed Albanian lyric soprano Ermonela Jaho and accompanied by Carlo Rizzi on piano. This double album is part of Opera Rara's ambitious project to record the complete solo works of Donizetti, showcasing his versatility and emotional depth. Jaho's expressive voice brings to life the lesser-known songs, which were written before Donizetti's move to Paris in 1838. This release features 14 Italian songs from Volume 5 and 13 from Volume 6, offering a unique glimpse into the composer's lesser-known repertoire. With Jaho's powerful and nuanced performances, this album is a must-listen for opera enthusiasts and fans of bel canto music.
