The sound is wildly diverse, taking Durry's established sound and stretching it further than ever before. With strong punk rock sensibilities in songs like "Bully" and "Start a Band" alongside the folksy sounds of "The Long Goodbye" and "Slug Bug". "This Movie Sucks" is a wild ride from start to finish. Tailor made for anybody longing for the energetic angst of the 2000's rock scene, but with more mature themes and lyrics. "Honestly the process of making this record has been a dream come true for us," says Austin Durry. "We've always recorded in basements, and home studios whenever we could find time and finances to make it happen. But for this record we were finally able to get into a big studio with a completed body of work and just bang out a whole album. It felt so good, and I think that really shines through these songs.
