Skallsjo Sommarorkester was founded based on a shared love for music and on a firm belief in the universal powers of music. We believe that music has a unique way of building bridges and bringing people closer together and one of our favourite ways of showcasing this has been to challenge traditional genre borders. We believe that when sound gets brought out of its expected packaging, its power to fuse people and cultures together grows stronger. So, we suppose we would call this classical fusion, but who cares about genres anyway. In the end we just did what we always do: we picked the tunes we love most and hope that you'll love them too. Our collaboration with the folk duo Vagspel (Alice Klint & Kristin Kennemark) goes way back. They started out as members of the orchestra in 2014 and after leaving the orchestra to focus on their career as a duo, we agreed to not lose contact but to do something new together. This collaboration led to the creation of this suite. Music by Alice Klint, wonderfully arranged by our own artistic director and concert master Carl Vallin. Premiered on Evolution Music Festival 2023.

Returns and Exchanges: We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, you may return it within 28 days of the item being dispatched for a refund or exchange. Please note the following guidelines:
- Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging – items that have been opened or had shrink wrap removed are not eligible for return or refund.
- Make sure to include your order number in the returned package.
