The Munich-based artist Peter Pichler is the only musician who has mastered and recorded the classical works for Mixturtrautonium. Some of these works have never before been published on recordings. The Mixturtrautonium is considered the predecessor of the synthesiser and has significantly influenced the development of electronic music.

In the context of the global political situation, Peter Pichler's album follows the desire to express the transience of earthly existence, individual powerlessness in the face of violence and exploitation and the successful revolt of many against oppression and lack of freedom.
In the dialogue between man and machine - voice and Mixturtrautonium - emotional borderline experiences are shared, despots are condemned, awareness of the beauties of this world and the hope associated with them are stirred up.
The Mixturtrautonium, which sounds are not orientated towards the well-tempered tuning and Western chord structure of the last 500 years, stands for foreign worlds, unknown elements of creation, freedom and self-determination. In the selected works, the human voice tells stories of warfare, loss, grief and rebellion.

Peter Pichler from Munich is a border crosser between different art forms and one of the few musicians in the world with a virtuoso command of the Trautonium or Mixturtrautonium. He is the only artist who regularly performs this extraordinary instrument live on stage. Thanks to his classical training, he utilises the versatility of this forefather of the synthesiser in a wide variety of musical genres.
His work is characterised by his long-standing fascination with the unique sound and musical possibilities of the Trautonium.
