They've brought elements of the two styles together, the raw, acerbic edge of black metal and the fearsome heft of death metal. They go hand-in-hand with their distinct features enhancing the overall sound, which comes off as surprisingly cohesive and powerful. As intimidating and loathsome their music is, which becomes a force of nature when they go on a rampage, they do know the importance of pacing and make sure to let the darker parts come to the fore and add a mysterious, ominous aura to the proceedings and also let the subtle dissonance seep deeper into the subconscious.
