For many centuries, Georgia has been a country in which different ethnicities and religions have lived side by side: Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Kurds, Jews, Christians and Muslims. This multicultural environment has influenced Josef Bardanashvili's style in the direction of pluralism, eclecticism and tolerance towards musical cultures. This openness can also be felt in each of his works on this CD.
