Carol (Bell) works as a voice coach and, though her clients often include Hollywood stars trying to perfect an accent for their next role, she very much lives in the shadow of her father, Sam (Fred Melamed), who lends his vocal talents to the trailers of some of the biggest movies around. With the help of her friend Louis (Demetri Martin), Carol believes she has a chance to break into the boys club of movie trailer voiceovers, but can she overcome the challenge presented by the eccentric Gustav (Ken Marino) and, of course, her father to win the trailer contract for a series of blockbuster movies? Eva Longoria and Cameron Diaz are among those to make cameo appearances.
