This release presents some of the best songs recorded by the inimitable Yves Montand (1921-1991), one of the true perennial voices of French song. Discovered by Edith Piaf in Paris in 1944 (she made him part of her act), Montand garnered international popularity as a singer and actor, starring in numerous films.

Among the highlights of this collection are versions of Jacques Prevert's perennial classics Las Feuilles Morte (Autumn Leaves) and Barbara, as well as hits like A Paris and Sensationnel.
