They brought folk music to a new prominence in the post-McCarthy era, putting lyrics about politics and morality on the radio amid the syrupy boy-girl love tunes that dominated the airwaves.

This release features the trio's first two albums, originally issued by Warner Bros. in the early 1960s. First, the splendid self-titled debut LP Peter, Paul and Mary, featuring some of their own compositions like Early in the Morning or Cruel War, and then their second LP Moving, which contains such highlights as Pretty Mary, Flora, A' Soalin', and Puff, The Magic Dragon.
