Description
In this groundbreaking work, Enrique Dussel masterfully combines Marxology, theology, and ethical theory to reveal a profound theological dimension at the core of Karl Marx's critique of capitalism. Dussel's close reading of Marx's thought uncovers a richly nuanced relationship between theology and political economy, one that has far-reaching implications for our understanding of Marx's philosophy. By exploring the theological metaphors that underpin Marx's critique, Dussel sheds new light on the ways in which Marx's ideas continue to shape our understanding of the world. This book is a must-read for scholars of Marx, theology, and philosophy, as well as anyone interested in the complex and often fraught relationship between politics, economics, and spirituality. With its unique approach and insightful analysis, "The Theological Metaphors of Marx" is a game-changing contribution to the field of Marx studies.
