Description
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the film and television industry was forced to adapt to a new reality. "Hollywood Shutdown" chronicles the unprecedented disruption to production, distribution, and exhibition practices. As the pandemic spread, travel restrictions and bans on non-essential work brought nearly all film and television production to a halt. The industry's response was swift, with major unions publishing strict safety guidelines and protocols to resume production safely. This book examines the complex and ever-evolving landscape of the pandemic's impact on Hollywood, from the initial shutdown to the eventual reopening of production. With a keen eye for detail, the author sheds light on the trends, challenges, and innovations that emerged in the face of unprecedented adversity.
