Description
In a world where social institutions are increasingly driven by market imperatives, finding spaces for democratic change can be a challenge. This thought-provoking book offers a framework for understanding the role of insubordinate spaces in fostering social justice. Through the lens of improvisation and accompaniment, Barbara Tomlinson and George Lipsitz explore the possibilities for deepening capacities for democratic change. By examining the intersections of power, inequality, and collective action, they provide a nuanced understanding of the complex dynamics at play. This book is a valuable resource for scholars, activists, and anyone seeking to create meaningful social change. With its critical thinking framework, it offers a compelling vision for a more just and equitable society.
