The album Essais musicaux gathers chamber music works for violin, clarinet and piano by Steffen Wolf (*1971) from the years 2017-2021. In a fundamentally searching and open attitude, all six works presented here follow the idea of the literary-philosophical essay. Among other things, they tell of encounters with art, sometimes dreamy and free-associating, sometimes clearly defined.
