In April 2006 Mayuko made her London orchestral debut at St. John's Smith Square with the London Soloists Chamber Orchestra performing Beethoven's Violin Concerto which led to Mayuko's invitation to perform with the Milton Keynes City Orchestra (High Sheriff s Concert, November 2006) followed by a recital at the prestigious Wigmore Hall (London) on February 2007. The Strad Magazine wrote 'Mayuko Katsumura immediately went for a round, vibrant projection in Grieg's 3rd Sonata that took on a plastic quality at the higher volume'. '...She captured a trance-like torpor in the exotic first movement of George Enescu's 3rd Sonata and there was an ethereally glassy tone to the harmonics of the Andante sostenuto e miterioso'. '...Katsumura is a confident and technically accomplished player.' Immediately after her Wigmore Hall premiere, in April 2007 Mayuko performed Prokofiev's 2nd Violin Concerto accompanied by the English Chamber Orchestra at the Cadogan Hall (London). In the 2007-2008 season, she performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Friuli Venezia-Giulia in Udine and Trieste (Italy) followed by a recital at the Wigmore Hall in April 2008. Musical Opinion Magazine wrote 'Her natural rich tone promising wondrous things... a performance of notable stature and musical cohesion'. In the 2009-2010 season, she toured Romania with the National Orchestras including Sibiu Philharmonic and Bacau Philharmonic. Her tour included yet another Orchestral debut with the Zagreb Philharmonic (Croatia) and a series of recitals in Italy, England (Wigmore Hall) where she launched her first CD recording with Maestro Bruno Canino. She also toured Japan including Tokyo performance at the Tsuda Hall with Bruno Canino. In the 2011-2012 season, she gave recitals in Poland, US, England and in Japan. She recently recorded the Shostakovich s first Violin Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Abbey Road Studio produced by Tony Faulkner, and for her successful performance with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Cadogan Hall, the Musical Opinion Magazine wrote; 'There was no denying Mayuko Katsumura's technical and musical command of the work (these were impressive qualities), nor her deep seriousness in coming to terms with the profundities of the score Katsumura was wholly convincing'. She has also recorded the Shostakovich's Violin Sonata with pianist Nigel Hutchison at the Henry Wood Hall in 2013, and both recordings of the Shostakovich's Violin Concerto and the Violin Sonata was launched at the St. John's Smith Square recital in January 2014, published by Green Room Productions. Mayuko has performed in Japan, Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany, The Netherlands, United States, Croatia, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania and Poland.
