Slightly Stoopid formed in the mid-1990\u2019s starting to release punk-tinged and surf-inspired albums. 2005\u2019s \u2018Closer To The Sun\u2019 (2005) broadened their musical palette further and featured collaborations with reggae artists such as Barrington Levy and Scientist, before 2007\u2019s \u2018Chronchitis\u2019 provided their first Billboard hit album (no. 55 debut, no. 2 indie chart).

The group\u2019s star has continued to rise, including \u2018Top Of The World\u2019 (2012) debuting the US charts at #13.On the live front, Slightly Stoopid has toured frequently ever since its inception, including appearances at US festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and New Orleans Jazz Fest. Their first headlining tour of amphitheatres in 2008 saw them joined by Sly & Robbie, while their \u2018Blazed & Confused\u2019 tour a year later was a co-headlining affair with Snoop Dogg.
