Currentes defines its artistic goals as within the field of historically informed performance, while specializing in polyphonic music from the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. \\r\u003cbr\u003e\\r\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ensemble\\xb4s interest in new forms of expression has led to collaboration with several composers in Norway. From 2015 to 2018, the ensemble is participating in the artistic research project Wheels within wheels.
