A country where playing metal is illegal and women singing unaccompanied risk execution.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ancient world, its art and languages, form a backdrop for an exploration of the pain and longing of the diasporically dispossessed in her mournful wails and use of traditional tahrir vocals unique to Iran.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn 2023 Lowen played shows across the UK including Desertfest, Doomlines, Masters of the Riff, Uprising Festival and recently as a support for Conan in London.
