Every \u003cstrong\u003eSlomatics\u003c\/strong\u003e record tells a story. Their 2016 release \u003ci\u003eFuture Echo Returns\u003c\/i\u003e was an earthy beast, dense and direct. Bone-rattling heaviness in the form of fuzz-laden doom was the main tool used on that record; in my review of that release I desired more tenderness, more humanity.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003eCanyons\u003c\/i\u003e is more expansive, an exploration of the far reaches of the universe.
