We have chosen a diverse array of artists, including \u003cstrong\u003eOs Panteras\u003c\/strong\u003efrom Brazil, stomping underground disco by \u003cstrong\u003eClaude Jay\u003c\/strong\u003e, the Danish soul sounds of \u003cstrong\u003eGitte \u0026amp; Inger\u003c\/strong\u003e and the gospel excellence of \u003cstrong\u003eTruth \u0026amp; Devotion\u003c\/strong\u003e, to name a few.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMost of the selections in this volume are older vintage productions, however, there is one \u003cstrong\u003every special contemporary production\u003c\/strong\u003e, recorded \u003cstrong\u003eexclusively\u003c\/strong\u003e for Mr Bongo Record Club 7. For 'Spring Has Sprung', we linked three of our cherished musical family together; the legendary cult artist \u003cstrong\u003eAsha Puthli\u003c\/strong\u003e, the wonderous band \u003cstrong\u003eSOYUZ\u003c\/strong\u003eand Swedish maestro \u003cstrong\u003eSven Wunder.\u003c\/strong\u003e The result, as you'd expect, is completely breathtaking.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eReflecting on Volume 7, it now feels like a record comprised of two themes. Firstly, we have gone quite heavy on the \u003cstrong\u003eBrazilian selections\u003c\/strong\u003e. This saw us searching further afield and digging into other areas of the endlessly rich Brazilian musical tapestry. The reflection of a more folk \/ Afro-Brazilian sound than presented in previous volumes in the series, can be heard in the songs of \u003cstrong\u003eAs Sublimes, Romeu Fernandes\u003c\/strong\u003eand \u003cstrong\u003eConjunto de Percussao Dora Pinto\u003c\/strong\u003e. The second theme is a representation of the tracks that we have been playing in our club DJ sets and are \u003cstrong\u003eaimed more at the dancefloor.\u003c\/strong\u003e Disco tracks such as 'Come Inside' by \u003cstrong\u003eThe Shades of Love\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eThe Duncans'\u003c\/strong\u003e 'Too Damn Hot' have been firmly tested favourites in recent years.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe hope these songs, by the sensational artists on display, inspire you as much as they do us.
