Rex's 1973 singles, we now turn to the 1972 singles, again featuring photos from the Keith Morris archive. \\r\u003cbr\u003e\\r\u003cbr\u003eThe second release is the absolute classic 'Telegram Sam', originally released in January 1972, effectively a preview of the forthcoming album 'The Slider', and these days amongst Marc Bolan's best remembered songs. It was the band's third UK number 1, where it stayed for two weeks (spending fourteen weeks in the charts in total).
