Carried by the soft and clear tone of the singer Marie-Flo Burki and the sensorial fabric of a string quartet, the music sails between experimental folk and contemporary jazz in a neo-classical atmosphere.\u003c\/p\u003e\\r\u003cbr\u003e\\r\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003eFlo and the Murmurs are a voice and four strings navigating on the border between jazz and folk in a chamber music aesthetic. The ensemble was formed in 2020 under the impulse of the singer and composer Marie-Flo Burki who sought to explore the range of colors offered by a string quartet. In the absence of a rhythm section the groove is created entirely by the textures of the strings. The versatility of the voice and instruments allows the musicians to evolve in a constant flow.
