The earlier one, 'With Love From Jazz', is the last 1960s recording by Stan Tracey's quartet with tenor saxophonist Bobby Wellins. Not quite a follow up to 'Under Milk Wood', it was made two years later and marked a critical change of Stan's personnel. The second album, 'We Love You Madly', is one of several Tracey big band sessions between May 1968 and October 1969, and as its name suggests (using the Ducal phrase addressed to audiences everywhere) it is a collection of Ellingtonian material, plus Stan's affectionate tribute in the title track. Recorded to celebrate the Duke's 70th birthday, it showcases musicians from the producer's stable - Don Rendell, Ian Carr, Acker Bilk, Joe Harriott & Tony Coe - who each have a feature from the Ellington repertoire.\\r
\\r

Stan Tracey Quartet - With Love From Jazz: \\r

Stan Tracey (piano) Bobby Wellins (tenor saxophone), Dave Green (double bass), Jackie Dougan (drums), Lennie Bush (double bass), Ronnie Stephenson (drums)\\r

Recorded October 12th & 31st, 1967.\\r
\\r

Stan Tracey Big Brass - We Love You Madly: \\r

Stan Tracey (piano, arranger) Derek Watkins, Kenny Baker, Paul Tungay, Eddie Blair, Les Condon (trumpet), Ian Carr (flugelhorn), Keith Christie, Chris Pyne, Don Lusher, Bobby Lamb, Chris Smith (trombone), Mr. Acker Bilk (clarinet), Joe Harriott (alto saxophone), Tony Coe (tenor saxophone), Don Rendell (tenor saxophone), Lennie Bush (double bass), Barry Morgan (drums)\\r

Recorded August 20th & 21st 1968.

Everywhere Derriere

Blues With A Feeling

Love Now, Weep Later

I Let A Song Go Out Of My Heart

Sweet Used To Be

Passion Flower

Lovers' Freeway

Lay-By

Two Part Intention

Creole Love Call

Undercover Lover

I'm Beginning To See The Light

Amoroso, Only More so

In A Sentimental Mood

Three Times Loser, Three Times Blueser

We Love You Madly
